Job Summary: As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of saws to cut materials according to specifications in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine cutting requirements
• Select appropriate saw blades, adjust settings, and ensure proper alignment for accurate cuts
• Measure and mark materials to be cut, ensuring adherence to precise dimensions.
• Operate all of the basic tools.
• Feed materials into the saw, monitor the cutting process, and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity
• Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and completeness
• Keep accurate track of time daily.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment daily.
• Work overtime if required.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Looking for an individual with a basic understanding of machining metal with various cutting tools.
• Have experience reading blueprints or cad drawings.
• Have experience with Milling and Lathe equipment.
• Understand and operate checking tools such as calipers.
• Must be comfortable in a machine shop environment.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required
• Proficient reading, writing, math, and communication skills are required.
• Must have proficiency with computers.
