Job Summary: Assistant Controller II

ASI, an innovative leader in autonomous robotics software, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of our operations, providing critical support to the Controller and driving the accuracy of our financial reporting and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Organization and Prioritization: Effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and support the smooth operation of the finance department.
• Deep Knowledge of GAAP: Apply a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Procedures and Standards: Maintain and improve accounting procedures and standards, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Read and review ledgers and financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• General Accounting Tasks: Assist in various accounting tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
• Accounting Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software, such as SAP, to manage financial data and processes efficiently.
• Support to Controller: Provide comprehensive support to the Controller in additional areas as needed, contributing to strategic financial planning and analysis.

Essential Education, Work Experience, and Job Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.Professional Experience: 4-6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Certification: CPA certification is required or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
• Cost Accounting Expertise: Demonstrated experience in cost accounting, including analyzing and managing cost structures, allocating costs accurately, and implementing cost control measures.
• Account Reconciliations: Skilled in performing and overseeing account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Auditing Experience: Experience with conducting financial audits, preparing audit reports, and implementing audit recommendations.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive Accounting Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and GAAP principles.
