Automation Personnel Services is Hiring a Director of Risk Management-Workers Compensation Near Birmingham, AL
- Lead the Workers' Compensation program, managing claims, case management, and risk associated with a workforce of 7,500 employees.
- Utilize executive presence and exceptional communication skills to collaborate with various branches and clients, fostering a consultative service and sales attitude.
- Leverage negotiation skills to work with claims adjusters and legal counsel, minimizing claim costs.
- Evaluate and enhance the overall effectiveness of risk management programs in alignment with national and industry standards.
- Oversee captive insurance management, risk management, insurance practices, and claims management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, insurance brokers, and clients.
- Proven leadership experience with executive presence.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to collaborate across various branches.
- Quantitative, analytical, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in captive insurance management, risk management, and claims management.
- Ability to communicate complex insurance issues effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of operational risk management experience.
- 10 years of Workers Compensation claims experience.
- Multi-state, employer-based claims management, and third-party administrator experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
