Automation Personnel Services is Hiring a Controls Technician Near Madison, AL
Pay Rate
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.
Automation Personnel Services is hiring experienced and knowledgeable Controls Technicians for a well-respected client in the Huntsville area. In this role, you will play a key role in the design, installation, and implementation of all technical aspects of Building Automation Systems, Industrial Control Systems, and Energy Management Systems. You will also be responsible for providing management, technical oversight, system development, troubleshooting, commissioning, and other functions related to the development and design of control systems.
We are seeking candidates who are familiar with Tridium & Circon Automation Systems and have experience with other systems such as BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus.
Controls Technician Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic control systems as needed.
- Provide design input and final design reviews of associated systems for installation.
- Provides plans and control system documents to application engineering for as-built drawings.
- Regularly communicate with customers to ensure the quality of work, scheduling, system functionality, and other deliverables are met.
- Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating issues, and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs.
- Provide training to customers on proper control system operations, and develop training documentation for field use.
- Mentor and train a knowledgeable workforce.
- Provide support to the mechanical staff on non-complex and/or non-critical equipment.
- Four-year vocational-school graduate or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, HVAC, or similar field.
- Three years of industry experience or ten years of experience in servicing mechanical equipment control systems in the HVAC industry
- Systems integration and development work on Niagara/Tridium-based systems (i.e. AX Supervisor, JACE) is a plus.
- Must have knowledge of commercial controls systems, facilities management systems, energy management practices, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to program facility automation controls-related software.
- AutoCAD or similar experience is a plus
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
