Sourcing Expeditor
SOURCING EXPEDITOR MISSION:
The primary mission of the Autocar Sourcing Expeditor is to manage the purchasing and inventory control functions by sourcing of all necessary materials required to fully support aftermarket customer requirements at the best quality, delivery, and cost.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research vendors to obtain products and materials
• Work with Level II Engineering to ensure 'tough' to solve customer needs are researched and solutions found

• Prepare and process purchase orders for all products and materials needed
• Expedite orders, tracking shipments and following up on back orders in a timely manner
• Negotiate pricing
• Access and manipulate system data for maintenance, reporting and tracking purposes
• Maintain and document accurate records of all goods ordered and received
• Develop and maintain effective vendor relations
• Assist in evaluating vendor reliability by reporting vendor quality

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong Analytical, planning and organization skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and successfully pivot based on changing priorities
• Some knowledge of ERP systems is preferred
• Inventory Management experience is preferred

OPERATIONAL OUTCOMES AND CADENCE

• Establish process to source hard to find parts and achieve an 85% fulfillment target of back-ordered parts in 15 days or less and shrink the Autocar Trucks parts backlog to 50 items or less, by end of 2023. -5 days for supplier in-stock items and 30 days for fabrication
• Establish and document process and procedure for part sourcing, purchasing, follow-through and expedition
• Inform Customer Care of progress for each back-ordered item through regular meetings and documented updates. Customer satisfaction will be measured through customer experience surveys
• Establish delivery parameters with OEM type suppliers with measured shipment within 2 business days
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure Autocar customer deliver is their obligated priority
• Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services. Select the most suitable suppliers for reliability, product quality, and cost efficiency
