Overview:

AutoNation Finance is AutoNation’s in-house Customer Financial Services solution for current and future AutoNation customers. Our technology teams are developing new financial platforms and digital capabilities to expand AutoNation Finance and strengthen our customer relationships.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer - Level 3 Support to bridge system administrative tasks between AutoNation Finance and AutoNation Corporate. The role will require strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure AutoNation Finance operational IT requests are addressed in an efficient and timely manner.

Organizational Relationships:

• Work with business end users.
• Interact with Operation teams: Security, DevOps, DBA, Architecture, Infrastructure, PMO
• IT Leadership: Director and Senior Director positions in IT organization

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support and guidance to end users.
• Read code and diagnose potential issues.
• Implement some code fixes where critically needed
• Manage issues to resolution
• Assess operational performance and recommend improvements.
• Assess system performance and provide recommendations.
• Develop IT operation policies and practices for AutoNation Finance
• Create detailed timeline and duration estimates for the work effort required.
• Present when required a detailed overview of the solution approach to technical leadership or the business stakeholders as appropriate.
• Support the deployment of applications, infrastructure and troubleshoot defects across environments.
• Generate accurate technical and end-user documentation of implemented software, applications, and runbook.
• Mentor junior team members in various operational tasks
• Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3 Years experience in IT support role
• 2 Years experience with C#
• Working knowledge of T-SQL
• Experience with cloud computing specifically Microsoft Azure
• Good knowledge of VDI environments especially Azure Virtual Desktop
• Experience with various Window operating systems, and Windows Server
• Experience with Thin clients
• Experience with call center hardware and system, including phone & IVR
• Good Leadership and organizational skills
• Problem solver
• Great communication skills
• Experience with Auto Finance strongly preferred
