In this position with the AAA ACG Advanced Analytics team, you will learn about the Auto Club Group’s business line products and services by receiving training through corporate education and/or on-the-job training. Assignments are based on business line needs, but should encompass professional level work that may include: gathering information, providing analysis and drawing conclusions and/or developing recommendations, conducting department business/system audits, developing reports, performing mathematical calculations for various transactions, selling and servicing of various ACG/affiliated products, etc. Program Components Include: Project-focused work, with specific group assignments and time to work together as a team Individual assignments to assist Intern in gaining understanding of the day-to-day aspects of working in the department Other program components as determined by department A DAY IN THE LIFE of an Advanced Analytics Intern ACG is seeking a motivated student to join our team as an Advanced Analytics Intern who will work with a small team to develop relevant and exciting research projects. In this position, you will have the opportunity to: Perform basic data analysis, queries, and data mining using BigQuery SQL and Python Develop basic to moderately complex BigQuery SQL and Python programming code to query, interpret and model proprietary customer data to target and prioritize contact distribution across all outbound communication channels Configure data management structures to monitor/measure customer interactions across the CRM continuum. This includes active analysis of direct response, product penetration, and customer engagement data, standardized reporting of CRM metrics and ongoing modifications of CRM models to improve customer response across channels WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WHO Required Qualifications: Must have: Must be available during the entire internship period as determined by department Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, organization skills, and strong situational adaptability Proficiency in Excel Experience with Microsoft Office Must be: At least a senior and fully enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college/university, with minimum 3.0 GPA Studying a related field – Data Analytics, Data Science, or similar Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Academic experience using SAS to query and analyze large data sets Compensation and Time Commitment The Auto Club Group will provide compensation of $22.75/hour for 35 hours/week for the internship’s duration. Work Environment This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership.
