Description

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests in and around the pool area while providing excellent guest service, including answering questions and addressing concerns
• Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur and administer first aid as needed
• Document all first aid administered
• Perform pool cleaning duties, including skimming, vacuuming, maintaining water clarity and cleaning tasks in the pool house and bathrooms
• Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks, such as checking chemical levels and adjusting as needed, as well as completing supporting documentation.
• Participate in all pre-service facility/pool training and scheduled staff meetings
• Ability to maintain shift schedule, as determined by the Facility and Program Managers
• Willingness to learn about autism and participate in pre-service autism-specific training.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age at start of employment
• Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification required
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
