Full job description

Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17-$24 DOE/Education

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a healthcare professional who works with clients to provide services. RBTs work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).

RBTs' responsibilities are to:

  • Provide behavioral interventions
  • to help clients learn social, communication, and daily living skills. They also help clients reduce problematic behaviors.
  • Implementing Support care plans
  • created by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Provides ABA interventions
  • that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors.
  • Implementing treatment plans
  • that help with skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Adheres to behavioral health plans
  • developed by a BCBA .
  • Collects data and records progress
  • on their clients' progress in REAL time.
  • Provides support
  • when needed.

What we require from you...

  • Understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Observing confidentiality and safeguarding all patient-related information.
  • Immediately report any patient incidents, variances, or complaints to the BCBA.
  • Maintaining acceptable attendance status, per Autism Behavior Academics policy.
  • Keeping up appearance within Autism Behavior Academics standards: appropriate attire, clean, and well-groomed.
  • Demonstrating effective time-management skills
  • Maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
  • Must complete ongoing training and continuing education to maintain certification.

Qualifications....

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Driver’s License
  • Negative TB test results
  • Pass a background screen
  • Experience/Education in related field (preferred)

Although a high school diploma is the minimum education required, some RBTs have a college degree.

Bonus but not required: If you are currently in one of the following majors; social sciences, special education, psychology, and early childhood education, and are looking for a career path in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) this position is ideal for you.

  • Monday through Friday Hours Vary

RBT Licensing & Training

We provide paid training and pay for the courses for you to complete your RBT certification. Training consists of 40 hours and do in-clinic shadowing with one of our certified RBT’s. Once you are done with the initial training you will complete a verbal competency assessment with one of the BCBA’s and then can begin working 1:1 as a Behavior Technician.

You will then need to pass a proctored exam for the RBT certification. Your pay rate will then increase and your title will change to Registered Behavior Technician.

We also provide BLS (Basic Life Support) training, Safety Care training, and other trainings throughout your employment. You must keep all your certifications current. If you are already an RBT that is a plus!

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
