Fire-Proofer Leadman

Must be able to prepare and apply fire protection systems and sound control coatings. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper materials, tools, and equipment are being used for the specified tasks.
• Prepare & apply fire protection systems and sound control using coatings such as Chartek, Cement, Gypsum, and Acrylic.
• Must have experience in Plural pump sprayer mixing different types of materials.
• Fire proofer must have experience with Fendo lite and concrete work.
• Reads blueprints and data to determine requirements for the job.
• Must be able to select the amount and type of fireproofing to be installed as well as a method of application according to the type and shape of surface.
• Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of fireproofing materials.
• Organize and order material as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Certifications / Licenses: NCCER, TWIC and DL

Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
