NICET Level III
Duties / Responsibilities
· Conducts routine tests and inspections, documents deficiencies of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, fire sprinkler systems and other fire safety product lines according to prescribed processes.
· Must have an ability to proctor, coach, and teach others.
· Strong knowledge of Piping systems.
o Pipe fitting, pipe welding, and pipe weld testing.
· Verifies proper operation; prepares accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
o Prepares inspection/ deficiency reports for submission to management.
o Journeyman QA/QC abilities a big plus
· Interfaces with customers to explain work performed and answers their questions.
· Must have a strong work ethic.
· Must be detail-oriented.
Education /Skills / Experience
· MUST possess a current National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Fire Protection Layout Technician - Level III.
Work Environment
· Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.
