As a Land Survey Crew Chief with Austin Engineering, you will be responsible for completing the field work for various types of survey and engineering related projects throughout Illinois and Eastern Iowa. These tasks will include but not be limited to the following:Perform preliminary research in office and at the courthouse in preparation for the survey project.Collection of all survey data pertinent to the completion of the project.Preparation of clear, legible, and organized field notes to assist the designer/surveyors with their projects.Maintenance of survey vehicle and equipment.Act as a field liaison for our clients and project managers.The ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible surveying experience.Experience performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, FEMA surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout.Expertise with Trimble GPS and Robotic survey equipment.Experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)LSIT License or CST CertificationClean driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.Austin Engineering provides an excellent and competitive benefits package which includes 401k, Medical Insurance, Dental insurance, Continuing Education, and paid time off.
