Austin Canvas & Awning is Hiring a Fabricator Welder Near Concord, NC
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MIG and TIG aluminum welding experience (non-negotiable). Push Pull MIG Welding (Pulse MIG a plus) experience
- Passing an onsite welding test required to demonstrate skills and use of equipment.
- Must possess skills to operate all shop equipment: MIG Welders, TIG Welders, Iron Worker, Band Saws, etc. (non-negotiable)
- Must be able to read and accurately measure within 1/16.”
- Ability to perform precise measurements using tape measure, square, protractor, and digital levels.
- Basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of welding machine settings, wire feeds, other welding equipment, and shielding gas requirements.
- Experience in layout & fabricating.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields.
- Knowledge of production tools and equipment.
- Ability and willingness to work in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills, self-motivation, and excellent time management skills.
- Be able to maintain a clean organized work area and ability to handle physical workload.
- Interact with leadership and be a team player.
- Read and interpret shop fabrication drawings.
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
- Install and repair various equipment and components.
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
- Conduct tests to evaluate welding quality and tolerance.
- Maintain a high level of quality control with an emphasis on safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- WABO Certified preferred: SMAW-FCAW
