REPORTS TO: Non- Industrial Cleaning Supervisor SUPERVISES: N/A AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The overall purpose of this position, is to provide general cleaning services and maintain an attractive, sanitary and safe facility. Cleans assigned areas (offices, restrooms, break areas, carpet, walls, furniture, outside areas, etc.) Maintain floors (sweeps, wet/dry mops, dust mops, vacuum carpets, etc) for the purpose of ensuring safety and proper maintenance of facility. Maintains supplies and equipment (cleaning solutions, paper products, vacuum, mops, etc,) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items required to properly stock facilities. Removes and ensures proper disposal of trash and garbage for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary and safe environment. Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintaining a functional office environment. Must be flexible to work any assigned work shift. May be assigned tasks outside assigned work area as required. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Perform simple math such as adding, subtracting and measuring. Ability to deal with routine problems that may arise in normal situations. LIAISES WITH: Supervisors, Foreman (when required) ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES: The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feet; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Specific physical requirements include the following: 1) Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, and kneel. 2) Perform prolonged standing (2-3 hour intervals). 3) Ability to turn head from side to side and about the vertical axis. 4) Ability to turn body at the waist from side to side and about vertical axis. 5) Lift/Push/Pull 50lbs to 75lbson an occasional basis (0-33% of the day). 6) Lift/Push/Pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis (34-66% of the day). 7) Able to work at a variety of levels (waist, eye, overhead). 9) Demonstrate the ability to safety and appropriately use required tools and equipment. 10) Possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment. 11) Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (safety glasses, goggles, respirator) safely per OSHA standards. 12) Able to respond to verbal and audible sounds/commands. 13) Able to utilize adequate visual skills. 14) Ability to fully extend the arm while reaching overhead, reaching out, reaching to the side and reaching down. 15) Ability to perceive attributes of an object/material such as size, shape, temperature and texture by means of receptors in the hands and fingers.
