REPORTS TO: Directly: ILS Technical Writer Lead Indirectly: ILS Manager SUPERVISES: N/A AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for development and preparation of all assigned equipment manuals, system/special manuals and other technical data products: Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences Review Vendor Furnished Information to ensure compliance with contractual requirements by following provided checklists and technical manual plans Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations and trade journals. Preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Interfaces with subject matter experts and other engineering personnel during the development of these products.
