As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for an RF Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members at NIWC PAC in the Point Loma area of San Diego, CA.

Requirements

• Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must have a current Security CE certification.
• BS in Engineering or Computer Science related field and 15 years of applicable experience or the equivalent combination of education, professional training and work experience. 

SECURITY:

• Experience working with DISA STIGs and performing security lockdowns required.
• Experience running vulnerabilities tools required.
  • Running ACAS (Nessus) preferred.
• Experience performing analysis on security results and writing risk mitigations.
• Experience working with system security expert to analyze the system and identify any open findings.
• Good working knowledge of Windows OS, network devices and supporting infrastructure.
• Able to provide computer supports for all Microsoft-Windows-based systems and Unix-based systems, specifically RHEL. Would include system admin tasks, troubleshooting tasks and security compliance tasks for these systems. 
• Host-Based Security System (HBSS).

NETWORKING:

• Must have extensive experience with networking concepts related to networking hardware/software to include LAN, WAN and Wireless technologies/architectures and procedures within network engineering/technical disciplines.
• Experience supporting the design and implementation of network custom software used to monitor, maintain and control network devices. 
• Experience with VM technology.
• Experience documenting new and advanced networking concepts. 
• Experience creating, managing and optimizing out of band (OOB) network management systems utilizing server virtualization.
• Experience with configuration, handling and troubleshooting of HAIPE.
• Experience working and troubleshooting network protocols, e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, VRRP, Spanning-tree MST.
• Experience in design work, design documentation and the test execution in support of a design.
• Experience with network analyzers and network packet captures.
• Experience with network testing tools, traffic and delay generators and latency generators.
• Knowledge of COTS products (routers, switches) and IETF standard routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, multicast).

RF COMMUNICATIONS:

• Experience with Fleet Communications (EHF, HF, UHF, SATCOM).
• Experience with CMS/crypto set-up.
• Experience with antenna set up for multiple channels and frequencies. 
• Knowledge of Navy environments preferred.
• Experience at a NCTAMS/ISP is a plus.
• Experience within ADNS is a plus.
• Capable of working independently or in teams based on customer’s/project’s needs. 
• Strong technical writing and verbal skills.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
