Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism and other behavioral disorders. Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistency and continuity of care
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary
- Support clients in developing social skills and adaptive behaviors
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Provide medical documentation as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or behavioral disorders is a plus
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Certification in crisis intervention is desirable
