Consumer Advocacy
- Advocate for employment development to improve independence
- Ensure that consumer’s employment goal is clear, well defined, and achievable
- Act as a liaison between supervisor, consumer, and employer to appropriately communicate concerns and create successful employment outcomes
Responsibilities :
- Provide job-skill training / coaching to help consumers acquire and maintain independent employment
- Monitor employment progress by completing assessment activities that determine skill level, and identify existing or new barriers
- Complete daily reports and documentation based on observations of work performance, goal progress, job coaching hours, and any additional supportive information
- Attend scheduled meetings / trainings and communicate professionally
- Protect consumer confidentiality
- Comply with all ARA and employment site safety standards
- Identify and report work hazards
- Other duties as assigned
