Auria is looking for a Software SME & Product Owner to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is on Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
A successful candidate should be able to provide in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java. This person will offer complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user support for a large code baseline. Responsibilities include following specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code; assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation; interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve the system's overall efficiency; design, code, test, and implement tools for automation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Physics, Mathematics, or related Science / Engineering discipline
- An advanced degree and 7 years experience, or bachelor with 9 years experience or equivalent
- DoD Top Secret Level Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
- Knowledge of software practices and coding standards, developing enterprise applications
- Command and control system application development
- Message translation software
- Software integration testing, including developing automated test scripts and pipeline development
- Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation
- Designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office products developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend and develop a solution
- Experience leading an Agile team
- Familiarity with Java Spring and containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of server-side development and message passing
- Use of common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle and Eclipse
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($123,560 - $140,050).
