Aureon Network Services is Hiring a Tech Support Professional Near Des Moines, IA
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex issues within the designated area of specialization.
Lead the diagnosis and resolution of intricate issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and methodologies.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members, empowering them to effectively handle day-to-day operations and challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
Configure, optimize, and maintain IT infrastructure components to ensure seamless operation and adherence to security standards.
Implement and enforce security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to safeguard against cyber threats.
Monitor system/network performance, conduct regular assessments, and optimize resource utilization to enhance overall efficiency and reliability.
Participate in IT project planning and execution, providing insights and recommendations to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure.
Document configurations, procedures, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to the organization's IT environment.
Assume additional duties as defined by supervisor and executive management

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT role, demonstrating proficiency in system administration, network management, and technical support.
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
Experience with cloud computing platforms, virtualization technologies, and ITIL practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users and stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in system administration tasks, including software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Sound knowledge of networking principles and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and security awareness training.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of information technology.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Indoor work primarily in office environments, with occasional travel to remote locations as needed.
Frequent use of computers, keyboards, and other IT equipment for extended periods.
Occasional lifting, bending, and carrying of IT hardware and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasional visits to client locations
Availability to work outside of standard business hours occasionally to perform maintenance or support critical operations.
