Aunt Mary’s is seeking Security Associates to help maintain a safe patient-first, compliant, and team-oriented culture. We are looking for a candidate that is able to maintain peace and order while deterring suspicious activities on our facility property.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience in security or customer service fields, is able to work independently or with limited supervision, and upholds a calm, polite, and professional demeanor.

Security Associates will engage with customers, employees, and vendors regularly. They ensure safety for the facility and periodically assess the ongoing security needs of the business. Security Personnel are expected to help cultivate a safe environment for customers, patients, caregivers, and fellow employees.

Job Description

A Security Associate is responsible for deterring suspicious activities such as loitering, vandalism, and potential theft. They oversee access into the facility, patrol the interior and exterior of the property, and maintain awareness on industry specific operations. This role reports directly to the Director of Retail.

Job Responsibilities

• Conducts random patrols around the interior and exterior of the facility, including parking areas
• Responds quickly to situations in a calm and professional manner when alerted
• Escorts employees to and from the facility during opening or closing hours
• Provides direction and general information to patients, visitors, and employees while on facility grounds or during shift
• Is present for delivery intakes when necessary
• Efficiently relays information to management about situations regarding patient concerns, loss prevention, and altercations
• Performs security checks at all points of access to ensure badging and security measures are in working order
• Follows the proper procedure for incident reporting if the need arises
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Security Guard or related field highly preferred
• A minimum education of: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 21 years of age or older
• Valid government issued photo ID
• Must be able to pass a criminal history background check
• Available to work during and after operating hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Veteran preferred, but not necessary

Conditions

• Ability to maintain patient and caregiver confidentiality
• Ability to de-escalate situations in a clam manner
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 lbs if needed
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time up to 8 hours
• Ability to memorize or quickly retrieve details about incidents
• Fluency in English

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
