A family in India is relocating back to their home in Burlingame this summer and seeking a compassionate fun Family Assistant to support their home.

Their children are 4 (girl) and 8 (boy) years old, bright and articulate, eager to try new things, and love to go on daily adventures and explore! Both kids are in school until 3 p.

m. so the family needs someone to arrive in the early afternoon to help with household tasks such as tidying, family laundry, errands, and meal prep or cooking, then spending the late afternoon picking up the kids driving them to extracurriculars, taking them on outdoor adventures, and helping with dinner and bedtime routines.

Additionally the family usually takes a few 2-3 day trips and 1-2 longer trips per year so willingness to travel is preferred;

the FA is not expected to attend every trip but flexibility is appreciated.

They would love to add someone to their family who is eager to support them and help make their lives easier, genuine, adventurous and thoughtful.

Experience Requirements

2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated
• CPR Certified
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• Valid driver with clean record (family will reimburse for mileage)
• Willingness to travel (family usually takes a short 2-3 day trip every quarter and 1-2 longer trips per year; FA not expected to attend every trip but flexibility is appreciated)
• Must be collaborative and a team-player as the parents are very hands-on with the kids
• Easygoing
• Comfortable following parents' lead and preferences

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the children, their safety, and engaging with them
• Planning fun daily outdoor adventures
• Light housekeeping
• Family laundry
• Meal prep and / or cooking simple meals (ideally for the family, at minimum for the kids)
• Running errads : groceries, dry cleaning, returning packages, shopping, etc.
• Assist with dinner, bath and bedtime routines
• Occasional date nights
• Occasional travel
