Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities for children in a daycare setting
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs or learning challenges
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum that align with child welfare guidelines
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote healthy lifestyles
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who may be struggling in specific subjects, such as math
Requirements:
- CDA, AS, AA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child welfare guidelines and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Note: CPR and First Aid certification may be required.
