Position Description
The supply assistant provides assistance with performing the day-to-day activities of the supply chain service line. This includes maintaining an adequate inventory of medical supplies and keeping the staff informed about the availability and needs of the department. Assists the nursing staff with the stocking of equipment and supplies in the patient room?s monitors PAR levels for medical supplies and works in a proactive manner to assist the department with the daily activities of supply ordering/processing.

Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and a minimum of one year hospital experience or 1 year of inventory management experience required. General office skills, typing and grammar skills, communication skills, organizational abilities, detail-oriented, working knowledge of computer software databases, spreadsheets,and operating systems.

Preferred Requirements
2 years or more of experience in Hospital/Emergency Room stocking experience. Medical Office and advanced computer skills. Prior experience in hospital or military inventory management. Efficiency training (LEAN, Just in Time, etc) desired.
