Position Description
Must be skilled in collection and processing of all laboratory specimens for testing and able to perform waived testing under direct supervision. Performs a variety of pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical tasks in the laboratory. Aids in supervisory activity for a lab section. Evaluates specimen acceptability, enters patient and test information into the computer and responds to requests for information from customers. Utilizes all necessary computer systems, proficient at reviewing documentation or accuracy.

Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years or more of experience in any laboratory field. Must have knowledge of laboratory and hospital regulations; ability to prioritize tasks and make immediate decisions and laboratory technical skills for pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical tasks; able to work and provide leadership for assigned areas and communicate effectively. AHA BLS and ASCP, AMT, NHA, NCCT, ABB, or NPA within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree. Experience in using Cerner, any LIS, Microsoft software, Outlook, Remisol, etc.
