Anticipated Vacancy: Speech and Language Pathologist (part-time/hourly) Reports To: Infant & Toddler Coordinator/Systems ManagerFLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY:Provide Speech and Language services to Infants and Toddlers ages birth to three. ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks.Reliable attendance and prompt arrival timeProvide Speech and Language Services for students as directed by the IFSPParticipate in the development of IFSPsProvide services in the child’s natural environment.Coordinate with other team members for the purpose of achieving goals. QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Masters degree in Speech and LanguageExperience working with Infant and Toddlers is preferredLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports and service notes based on the goals of the IFSP. REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form. CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSLicensed by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language PathologyMasters Degree in Speech and LanguageMust have Certificate of Clinical CompetenceMust complete the Early Intervention training modules prior to providing services. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTPer contract and Augusta County Policy ManualFull time - 200 days, 12 months per year.
