Audrey's Little Love Bugs Daycare is Hiring a Child Care Worker Near Detroit, MI

Childcare workers are responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. They must monitor the children all day to ensure that they play and interact with one another safely and appropriately. Some of their typical duties include:

  • Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
  • Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
  • Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
  • Organizing activities and developing curriculum for older children
  • Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
  • Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests, and any problems that may occur
  • Maintaining contact with the children’s parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency
  • Coordinate attendance for children participating in extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure that children are released to authorized parent//guardian.
  • Provide appropriate care and supervision of children.
  • Positively interact with each child.
  • Supervise children and monitor their activities in a friendly and responsible manner.
  • Provide a variety of activities and experiences that meet the developmental needs of the children.
  • Promote positive relationships, good sportsmanship, and safety.
  • Be proactive in encouraging a secure environment.
  • Ensure children are not alone or unsupervised.
  • Communicates with the Director and parents regarding children.
  • Maintains organized childcare area and reports safety or cleanliness concerns.
  • Provide first aid to children and report accidents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
