Job Summary:
We are a private audiology practice seeking a skilled and compassionate Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with hearing and balance disorders. You will work closely with our pediatric patients and their parents and our adult patients to assess their needs, provide personalized treatment plans, and offer ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric audiology, audiology anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations to assess hearing and balance function
- Conduct Newborn hearing screenings – ABR’s and OAE’s
- Conduct Auditory Processing testing
- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses of all testing types you perform
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Administer hearing tests, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding hearing loss management and communication strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to the auditory system
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques for hearing and balance disorders
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for performing procedures
- Ability to interpret medical imaging related to the auditory system
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including a child’s parent(s)
- Strong problem-solving abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid Florida state license or certification as an Audiologist
- Prior experience working as an Audiologist preferred but not required (Strong Pediatric background preferred)
