Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the used car department, including purchasing, reconditioning, pricing, and sales. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive sales growth while maintaining high levels of customer service and compliance with dealership policies and automotive regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the used car department.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase inventory turnover and profitability.
• Appraise and purchase used vehicles for resale, and manage vehicle inventory.
• Set pricing strategies and ensure competitive pricing on all vehicles.
• Work closely with the sales team to maximize sales opportunities and achieve sales targets.
• Ensure all used vehicles are presented to the highest standards and meet all regulatory requirements.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and build a loyal customer base.
• Train and develop the used car sales team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or similar role in automotive sales.
• Strong understanding of the used vehicle market and valuation techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
• Proficient with automotive software and database systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in automotive management or sales are advantageous.
