The Associate Producer collaborates closely with fellow producers each day to produce and create a three-hour radio program comprised of the signature sound of declarative observations on the world of sports and the culture that surrounds this significant part of the American landscape. The Associate Producer writes his or her own well researched and defined observations, meant to be shared in the voice of the program and heard by millions of Americans each day.

Social media skills are required and part of the job. The qualified individual for this position should have existing strong social media creation and posting skills and carry a wide knowledge of how to maximize the reach of the posts you and others create through the course of the week. Having a top-level knowledge of sports leagues, conferences and players is necessary. You should also possess a superior knowledge of both the professional major sports as well as collegiate sports. Experience in a collaborative writing environment is a very helpful work experience trait.

Youll work in a real-time environment, in our studios, during the program and afterwards to promote tune-in. Your editing, word choice, tagging, and visual optimism skills will be key crucial in your success. Youll collaborate with the host, the Executive Producer, and the entire team on creative elements.

In addition, youll utilize your knowledge of sports to collaborate closely with fellow producers each day to produce and create a three-hour simulcast program comprised of the signature sound of declarative observations on the world of sports and the culture that surrounds this significant part of the American landscape.

The Jim Rome Show is celebrating its 28th year of national distribution via radio syndication. Its regarded within the industry as a pioneering effort in solo hosting a daily conversation with the audience. Todays radio program hosted by Jim Rome includes not only the audience relationship via radio and an accompanying podcast, but also a social media presence, as well.

You will be working in a studio environment with half a dozen other individuals, in a specially built out broadcast facility in Costa Mesa, CA. The workday starts before 6am and continues through a daily 9am to Noon pacific time zone broadcast, with subsequent follow up duties planning for the next days broadcasts. There is frequent collaboration in the weeknight evenings, in the preparation of interviews and breaking news in the world of sports.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for California based individuals expressing interest in this position is $45,000/yr-$55,000/yr.
