The Department of Pathobiology, Auburn University, is seeking a highly qualified, motivated, innovative, and collaborative immunologist to fill a tenure-track, 12-month appointment, with a significant research commitment. Candidates must have a PhD in Immunology or a related field at the time the appointment begins. Research excellence should be documented with a record of published research in basic/fundamental, translational, applied, or other types of immunology. The existence of an independent research program, or the ability to establish such a program should be demonstrated by the candidates' training, accomplishments, and grant-writing skills. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are also necessary for individuals seeking this position.

Desirable qualifications include completion of post-doctoral training; DVM, VMD or equivalent degree; MD or DO degree; track record of research funding; demonstration of a collaborative approach to research; high impact publications; and experience in graduate student teaching and/or mentoring.
