Au Elements of Texas Cheer and Dance is a Nonprofit All-Star cheer organization in Hutto, TX that was founded in 2017. Our mission is to train the youth in our community in cheer, dance, and essentially life. Our athletes come from different walks of life and each with their own unique experiences. Job Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Volunteer Coaches. As a Volunteer Coach, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while gaining valuable experience in coaching and mentoring. This is a non-paid position that offers the chance to contribute to the development of young athletes in cheer, dance, and tumbling!

Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning and conducting training sessions for students in sports such as karate, cheerleading, judo, and more.

- Provide guidance and instruction to students on proper techniques and skills.

- Ensure the safety of students during training sessions, including implementing behavior management strategies.

- Support students in their physical development by encouraging them to participate in activities such as stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance.

- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement.

- Educate students on the importance of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Skills:

- Experience in cheer/all-star cheer is preferred - however we do provide training!

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, other staff members, parents, and members of the community.

- Ability to manage student behavior and maintain a safe training environment.

- Knowledge of various cheer techniques and ability to teach them effectively.

- Experience working with students of different ages and skill levels.

- Passion for cheer and a desire to inspire young athletes.

Our work environment includes:

  • A warehouse with fans and NO A/C (we have multiple fans that blow out cool air and unlimited water!)
  • Fun, exciting, and rewarding
  • Fast paced, must be able to keep up with the 'littles

Head Coach Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Creating, revising, and maintaining competition routines
  • Taking attendance at practice
  • Have tumbling, dance, stunting, and jumps knowledge
  • Attending all necessary meetings (in-person/via zoom)
  • Attending competitions for their team
  • Communicating with team moms and parents effectively
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must be eligible to participate in USASF

Assistant Coach Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the head coach with practice
  • Help run practice on practice days
  • Help with attendance
  • Attend competitions with your team
  • Attending all necessary meetings (in-person/zoom)
  • Must pass background check
  • Must be eligible to participate in USASF

Please note that this is a volunteer position. While there is no monetary compensation, you will gain valuable experience in coaching and mentoring.
