Plastics manufacturing company located in Mogadore, OH is looking for a hardworking and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their team. Please apply if you meet the below criteria:

Essential duties of the Maintenance Technician:

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts
• Orders and installs replacement parts for machines
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently
• Prepares reports documenting work performed
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
• Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required
• Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Basic qualifications of an Maintenance Technician:

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components
• Must be able to work with basic hand tools, Volt/Ohm meters, welding equipment.
• Capable of fabricating parts for new or existing equipment using hand tools and basic shop equipment
• Must be capable of interpreting blueprints, and schematics
• Able to work overtime and weekends if necessary
• Ability to follow company required safety policies and procedures; this includes wearing required persona protection equipment (PPE)
• Ability to follow instructions

Preferred qualifications of a Maintenance Technician:

• Prior experience in a plant or manufacturing environment working with machines, plastics experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Proficient in operating and troubleshooting processing equipment.

Education and experience qualifications of a Maintenance Technician:

• High School or equivalent GED required
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on the job training provided.

Physical requirements of a Maintenance Technician:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move an needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• *** MUST HAVE STEEL-TOED BOOTS/SAFETY SHOES***

Position type: Full-time, temp-to-hire

Shift: Monday - Friday

2nd shift (2:45 PM - 11:00 PM)

3rd shift (10:45 PM - 7:00 AM)

Pay: $22-34/hr starting, weekly pay
