Atwell’s Sustainability Intern position will support our ESG Program.

Location: San Antonio, TX (Preferred) or Austin, TX

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sustainability Intern to join our team and contribute to our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with our sustainability professionals to drive meaningful change and support our commitment to sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze the results of materiality assessments to create actionable goals and strategies.
• Conduct research on the benefits of transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) and support our approved beta test for 12 EVs.
• Assist in creating and developing budgets for our ESG programs, including researching best practices and benchmarking against industry peers.
• Contribute to the development of ESG education content and materials to raise awareness and promote sustainability across the organization.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts related to our sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Currently enrolled in a sustainability, environmental science, or related program at an accredited institution.

OR

Prior coursework or experience demonstrating knowledge of sustainability or ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of ESG concepts and a demonstrated passion for sustainability.
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal) for clear and concise information delivery to various audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, working independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
