General Description: This is an entry level permanent position. The production graphic artist's primary responsibility is to complete all phases of the artwork from design to printing of signs, banners, printed materials, vehicle graphics and wraps, inflatable art, and other art for production.

Our company work environment is fast paced, team oriented, and fun. You should be good with hands-on work to produce custom art products. You will be on your feet most of the time when fabricating products and sometimes working at a desk. You must be able to lift 75 pounds and able to work on ladders.

This is a full time position working Monday through Friday, 35–40 hours per week and occasional weekends. Candidate must be available for 40 hours per week and have a valid drivers license. Start date is ASAP. Some benefits offered after a three-month probation.

Desirable Job Characteristics:

• College coursework related to graphic arts.
• Knowledge and experience working with the Illustrator design program and Photoshop experience is recommended.
• Knowledge and experience organizing and backing up customer files on the computer and external hard drives. Must have demonstrated ability work on Macintosh and PC computers.
• Pays attention to detail, measurements and being precise, but doesn’t get caught up in it when the job needs to be completed. Think of multiple ways for production using minimal amounts of materials to avoid waste, in particular with digital printing and nesting jobs. Can think and move fast on a job, especially when troubleshooting is necessary.

Specific Tasks Include:

• Fabricate signs under direct supervision of the Operation Manager, Production Manager, and the Lead Graphic Designer.
• Use large format printing machines to print vinyl for signs and banners. Use CNC routers, laser machine, and a sign substrate cutter to assist with fabrication of signs.
• Preparing and cutting out stencils, prepares ink colors to PMS specifications, hand lettering, working with vinyl stencils and/or lettering. Paint large and small areas with brushes and rollers, airbrush, and/or air gun, projecting and drawing for the required art to the customer specifications, touching up and fixing art projects. Painting area and air guns must stay clean as possible. Vacuum carpet and put materials away on an ongoing basis.
• Works with clients when necessary providing articulate communication in person, but primarily through e-mail and telephone to meet and exceed expectations for their projects.
• Organize and maintain customer files on the computer and backup hard drives. Maintain computers and printers for optimal efficiency including regularly cleaning print heads and the laser lens when needed.
• Use ShopVox (sign software) properly, sending concepts to clients, using the Order Board with all jobs, and completing jobs when done.
• Empty trash and recycle bins when needed.
• Greeting people when they come into AGD store front. Answer phones and jump in and help whenever and wherever help is needed.
