Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is Hiring a RN, Emergency Department, Nights Near Advance, NC

Job DescriptionEmergency Department - The Emergency Department at Davie Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility equipped to provide immediate and comprehensive medical care to patients in times of urgent need. We are in search of a skilled Registered Nurse (full time, nights) to become a part of our close-knit family within the Emergency Department.
The perfect candidate should possess the ability to apply the nursing process in delivering patient and family-centered care, excel in communication, foster the exchange of information across the entire care journey, and contribute effectively within our healthcare team.
Position Highlights: 
Sign-on Bonus: $20,000 sign-on bonus eligible position!
Shift Schedule: Full time (36 hours), Nights, 7pm – 7:00am 
Department: Emergency Department
Location: Davie Medical Center

What You will Need: 
Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. 
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing 
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
Patient/Family Centered Care:Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of WFBH. 
Patient Discharge & Referrals:Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed. 
Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment:Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior. Embrace technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety. 
Effective Communication:Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among the healthcare team, facilitating information sharing throughout the continuum of care. Active participation in our professional practice model and shared governance initiatives will promote teamwork, leadership, and clinical excellence. 
Professional Growth and Accountability:Function effectively in a professional setting by actively participating in peer review, professional development, and adherence to care standards. Exhibit effective team skills, autonomous practice, and critical thinking, acknowledging accountability for actions. 
Patient Advocacy:Act as a passionate patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, advocating for their needs and preferences in all patient settings, including the community. 
Care Management and Clinical Prioritization:Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services by applying care management principles. Identify clinical priorities and initiate action to continuously improve patient outcomes.
