Job Summary

Atlasi Martial Arts Academy is looking for an experienced and reliable Martial Arts Instructor to assist in the preparation and teaching of martial arts classes for children and adults. The ideal candidate is skilled in performing and teaching all levels of curriculum, up to and including black belt,and capable of maintaining a high level of enthusiasm and positive reinforcement in the classroom.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching Martial Arts classes for students and prospective students, taking the lead as instructed;
• Assists with sparring and contact exercises to ensure students of similar ranks, size, and age are appropriately paired;
• Assists in keeping students and prospective students motivated throughout their lessons regardless of age, gender or athletic ability;
• Assists with assessment of student comprehension and reports any student misconduct or parent concerns to Head Instructor;
• Assists in following-up on prospects with effective telephone,in-person and e-mail communication;
• Greets parents and visitors and answers any questions that arise;
• Knows all students by their first name;
• Has a thorough understanding of criteria for student belt testing, implements school requirements and assists in filling out all necessary paperwork;
• Successfully masters concepts for effective martial arts instruction and continues to improve instructing techniques through additional training;
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of school; and
• Performs various other duties and assignments as necessary or required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Rank of Black Belt
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Must be available to work Saturdays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
