We use conventional tools, robots, and drones to conduct surveys, perform certifications, and provide real-time GPS and aerial mapping. We serve a client base of real estate developers and construction companies, as well as architectural and engineering firms.

Atlas Surveying Inc. is accepting resumes for the position of Crew Chief. Candidates must be experienced survey professionals. Responsibilities will include construction staking, completing as-built, boundary, tree, and topographic surveys, as well as wetland and OCRM delineations. Crew Chiefs are responsible for the daily guidance and training of Instrument Operators. You may be required to work alone at times with GPS or a robotic total station to respond to client needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform stakeouts on a variety of construction projects.
• Perform topographic surveys and cross-sectioning.
• Perform mathematical calculations, field checking, and collection of field data
• Take accurate and clear notes in field book.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
• Know principles of monumentation, staking, and marking
• Be responsible for quality control and performance of all assigned work.
• Be responsible for the maintenance of Company equipment and Company vehicle.
• Be organized and practice good decision-making.
• Complete projects in a timely manner consistent with project budget
• Meet with client and landowners as a representative of the company.
• Be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

• At least five (5) years of land surveying experience is required.
• Knowledge of GPS, electronic data controllers, and monitors
• Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations
• The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 75 lbs. Mental and physical labors are to be expected.
• Honest, dependable, thorough, safety-conscious, and possessing a strong work ethic.
• Must be self-driven with little to no supervision.
• Must have a current, valid driver’s license with MVR that meets company requirements.
• Must be willing and able to enroll in OSHA and other compliance and policy programs.
