Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager

Are you ready to take charge of our wastewater treatment operations with skill and expertise? We're seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager to lead our team with confidence and proficiency.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Exercise independent judgment in evaluating maintenance issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Complete daily Wastewater Control Sheet Reports accurately and promptly.
• Provide comprehensive training to employees on current wastewater treatment technologies and practices.
• Execute lab analysis procedures according to Standard Methods Lab Manuals.
• Oversee the staffing plan for the department, ensuring appropriate levels of trained personnel are available.
• Maintain sanitary septic systems and keep up-to-date compliance records.
• Ensure monthly maintenance tasks are carried out and accurately documented.
• Efficiently present wastewater-related information to the Safety & Environment Manager.
• Fulfill administrative managerial duties, including handling phone calls, paperwork, scheduling, and attending meetings.
• Foster open communication with all employees and managers, actively seeking ways to improve employee relations.
• Coordinate with wastewater and maintenance staff to address necessary repairs, including issuing work orders for pump downtime.
• Organize team output, plan and schedule manpower according to production requirements.
• Propose technical and organizational improvements to line management.
• Participate in trials of new equipment, products, and processes.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in the environmental control field or equivalent.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 4 years of operational experience in a class four wastewater treatment system or facility.
• Knowledge of land application permit regulations.

Professional Certifications:

• State of Idaho Class Four Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License.
• Wastewater Land Application Permit Manager Certification.

Salary: $85k to $100k/yr.
