A well-established learning system working to serve students is currently seeking nurses for their education programs. School Nurses who join this team of professionals are responsible for providing medical assistance to students and completing multiple tasks ranging from assessing minor injuries to requesting emergency services.

The base pay range for this position is $45 to $50 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:

• Conducting student hearing and vision screenings
• Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
• Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
• Verifying student vaccination records
• Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
• Administering first aid and CPR
• Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, and bruises
• Contacting parents when students are ill or injured

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse – New York State Licensure
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• One year of nursing experience preferred
