The base pay range for this position is $30 to $35 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. This is a true temp-to-perm role; you can gain access to company benefits, paid time off, and more perks once you transition!
Responsibilities:
- Providing crisis intervention.
- Developing intervention strategies to increase academic success.
- Assisting with conflict resolution and anger management.
- Helping the child develop appropriate social interaction skills.
- Assisting the child in understanding and accepting self and others.
- Identifying pupil needs and cooperating with other staff members to help students with health, attitudes, and learning problems.
- Attending and participating in Child Study Team meetings.
- Developing and implementing IEPs for classified students according to state and federal guidelines.
- Adhering to the school’s guidelines and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in social work (MSW preferred)
- NJ School Social Worker Certification
- Prior experience working with children in a school or other social service capacity
