A school located in Port Washing, NY is seeking a School Nurse to serve their educational programs! The School Nurse in this position will be tasked with conducting health screenings, providing 1:1 student support as needed, and developing and monitoring health plans for student(s). The base range for this position is $28 to $46.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate sensitivity and good judgment in working with student and parents
• Communicates appropriately and effectively with student, parents, faculty, and other school personnel
• Promotes wellness and healthy behaviors through teaching and education
• Provides prescribed care to student requiring professional nursing services

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse – New York State Licensure
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
