A well establish day habilitation center located in Staten Island, NY is currently seeking a talented Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join their growing team on a full-time basis. The COTA in this position will work hands-on under the supervision of a licensed OT carrying out treatment plans, monitoring patient progress and condition, and assisting the OT with all exercises.

The base pay range for this position is $22.50 to $30.50 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:

• Provides Occupational Therapy services to patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Assists the Occupational Therapist in the evaluation process as needed or directed.
• Identifies indications for and assists in evaluations at appropriate intervals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Assists the Occupational Therapist in identifying a problem list, short-term goals, long-term goals, and treatment plan.
• Conducts individual, supervised, and group treatment as assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitors patient’s response to intervention and consults with Occupational Therapist if modification is needed.
• Provides/recommends/fabricates adaptive devices or other equipment; trains patient and caregiver in the use or application of orthotics and prosthetics.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• New York State Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
