Atlas Excavating, Inc. is Hiring a Project Accountant Near West Lafayette, IN

Atlas Excavating, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Accountant to add to our growing team.

Job responsibilities include: 

  • Manage new project set-up and established job file system and procedures
  • Prepare and issue subcontract agreements and purchase orders
  • Manage contracts and order bonds and certificates of insurance
  • Review and code vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Invoice and change order entry
  • Prepares billings and lien waivers in accordance with contract terms
  • Assist project managers with tracking and management of submittals, project closeout, etc.
  • Print and prepare monthly cost-to-complete reports for project managers

Required skills:

  • One to two years’ experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and enjoys working with numbers
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Self-motivated and understands the importance of deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred skills

  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of Procore, Foundation Software, HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and Bluebeam
