Powerhouse Equipment & Engineering is seeking qualified Field Service Technicians to join our team. We specialize in power plant, heating, mechanical contracting, and industrial products including packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and other boiler plant equipment for various applications. Powerhouse provides new product sales, used boiler sales service, parts, and technical support testing from NY to Florida.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

· Inspection of equipment to diagnose operational problems

· Perform repairs, replace gaskets and miscellaneous controls & parts

· Perform annual maintenance inspections

· Troubleshoot and repair burners, all manufactures

· Installation of new, low-emissions burners

· Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation component/systems

· Commission, troubleshoot and adjust combustion on a variety of burners and boilers

· Document parts required for replacement & repair and provide detailed written documentation outlining services rendered

· Request materials needed to complete tasks within company guidelines and budgets

· Travel to multiple locations and transport materials to and from specific destinations (vehicle provided)

· Submit electronic paperwork daily

The qualified professional we seek must possess:

· 3 years of boiler installation and maintenance experience

· Ability to travel (on average) 25 – 35%

· Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable with no major infractions

· Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

· Electrical and mechanical experience is a must, preferably in an industrial environment

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

· Experience with lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting

· Familiarity with LOTO, and prior demonstrated experience with draining/filling/operating/troubleshooting/inspecting/testing hot water and steam boilers strongly preferred

· Proficient use of technology, computers, and software including MS Office Suite

· Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience writing routine reports and correspondence

· Excellent customer service skills

· Local Area Candidates Preferred
