Your Role

Your Mission:

As Supply Chain Analyst you will support the Supply Chain Manager in providing accurate, up-to-date information on all supply chain activity at multiple locations across the US and Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE

To provide accurate information on various supply chain flows and support sales in achieving the company's business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Place, process, and monitor all purchase orders to internal and external vendors
  • Monitor EDI orders to vendors to ensure proper transmission correcting any orders in error status.
  • Coordinate and track container imports with our global factories
  • Work with our customs brokers to ensure proper documentation and clearance of all imports.
  • Process internal plant to plant transfers
  • Process demo request from sales team.
  • Coordinate with Distribution Center to ensure timely processing and delivery of orders.
  • Back up for master data steward responsible for
    • update and create new material and material supersession.
    • Monitor and update prices for part numbers as needed.
    • Update and maintain business dimensions for all part numbers
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager in generating inventory related inquiries and reports.
  • Monitor and update safety stock levels and vendor lead times for MRP
  • Develop efficiencies in all areas of supply chain operations and management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, streamlining processes, and improving efficiencies.
  • Assist in mapping, improving and documenting inventory flow and operations.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure efficient and smooth inventory flows, and to avoid unforeseen changes in orders.
  • Provide reports of order status, and inventory control activities; and review existing databases and other resources for improvements in data quality and presentation for use by inventory personnel and all levels of management.
  • Assist in annual physical inventories at various warehouse locations throughout the US.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


To succeed, you will need

Experience:

  • Two (2) years in an Inventory/supply chain position, including experience in purchasing, import/export, and/or logistics.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced International environment.
  • Expert level skills using Excel and data management systems.
  • Experience in SAP ERP system a plus
  • Experience creating dashboards in PowerBI a plus

Education:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Logistics, Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

Language Ability:

  1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  4. Strong communication skills, able to be persuasive and good at negotiating.

Math Ability:

  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  2. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  3. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

  1. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented and know how to manage overlapping projects, keep track of deadlines, and be able to use time efficiently.
  2. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  4. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
  5. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in variable situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills:

  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email software; word processing software; spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel; Accounting software and Contact Management systems.
