Your Role

Atlas Copco is a leading industrial supplier that relies on supplying efficient compressed air systems for our customers. We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter and Rigger to join our team and play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of our compressed air piping systems. Roles and Responsibilities

Estimate and Proposals

Provide support in the preparation of estimates and proposals for piping system layouts, along with complete compressor room equipment installations.

Installation & Rigging

Perform installation of new compressors including air dryers, filters, cooling systems, ventilation ducting and complete compressed AirNet piping systems.

  • Install, assemble, and maintain compressed air piping systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and related components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and alignment of systems.
  • Perform rigging activities, including selecting rigging equipment, attaching loads, and ensuring safe lifting and positioning.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and repair leaks, faults, and performance issues in the compressed air systems.
  • Perform welding, soldering, and cutting tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and malfunctions in compressed air systems.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each task.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior team members

Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.

Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.

Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required.

Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.

Recordkeeping and Documentation

-Complete work order forms, time cards, expense reports, and other job-related paperwork as required.

Perform additional assignments as required.


To succeed, you will need

Experience - 1-2 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent. Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of Atlas Copco Industrial and Oil-Free compressors. Strong mechanical and electrical skills.

Education - High School diploma required with technical training in mechanical and/or electrical.

Skills - Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Overnight travel is minimal. Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable pulling and backing up with a 20-foot trailer attached to a company vehicle.
