Dispensing Optician

Atlantis Eyecare is an expanding organization that is looking for an ambitious and career driven individual. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in optical selling of high-end frames and innovative lens technology. Someone who enjoys selling stylish frames and possesses knowledge of new technology in optical lenses. We take patient care seriously but also are a fun team.

Location

We have multiple locations based out of the LA and OC territory. This position does require traveling between locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists patient's selecting eyewear and recommend lenses that best fit their vision needs and lifestyle
• Educates the patient by accurately describing the features and benefits of various lenses and frames recommended for their needs
• Manages orders to and from the lab
• Trains patients how to insert, remove and care for contact lenses
• Performs accuracy in collecting and billing for vision insurance plans (VSP, Eyemed, Superior, MES etc)
• Must be highly motivated in providing an exceptional customer service
• Lab knowledge - Preferred
• Lens cutting, Edging and Tinting - Preferred
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Must have reliable transportation
• Spanish speaking strongly recommended/not required.
• Must be able to travel between locations.
• ABO Certified preferred but not required

Salary/Wage: Depending on Experience

$15.00 - $18.00
