Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in health care related field or 5-7 years of training center operations experience;
• Valid NJ Driver’s license required.
• PALS / ACLS / BLS Instructor Certification required
• Prior teaching instruction experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Life Support Training Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, scheduling and completion of all American Heart Association (AHA) education.

The Supervisor will follow American Heart Association (AHA) policies and serve as the primary liaison between AHA and the instructors.

The Supervisor will oversee and manage the performance of all Pool LSTC Instructors including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and monitoring performance.

The Supervisor will support and utilize the Voice Activated Manikin (VAM) in AHA Certifications. The Supervisor will assist with and collaborate with Human Resources with certification requirements and role based Essential Work Requirements.

The Supervisor will support and oversee all community based instructors and monitor for AHA compliance.

The Coordinator will possess an in-depth knowledge of business operations, fiscal principles and industry operating procedures to provide input on the Life Support Training Center Budget according to department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in health care related field or 5-7 years of training center operations experience.

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION : PALS / ACLS / BLS Instructor Certification required; Faculty level preferred. Valid NJ Driver’s license required.

EXPERIENCE : 3-5 years PALS / ACLS / BLS experience required. Prior teaching instruction experience required. Prior experience and coordination of simulation lab environment preferred.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. (Refers to Blood Bourne Pathogen requirement) Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position report to Department Leadership and may supervise incumbents’ as assigned.
