POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator provides administrative support to the Integrated Disability Management staff and assists with departmental operational functions as required. While the Coordinator's primary responsibilities relate to the processing of Workers' Compensation claims, there are some responsibilities related to the processing of Leave of Absence matters as well.
The Coordinator maintains files, answers telephones, prepares moderately-complex reports, schedules meetings and appointments, orders, maintains and summarizes medical records and responds to routine mail correspondence. The Coordinator performs complex administrative work with an emphasis on claims and bill processing, reports, presentations and material preparation for meetings, control of department calendars, development and distribution of meeting agendas, file controls and assistance with functional operations as required to support Integrated Disability Management. This position provides information to staff and outside departments and provides support for operational functions and special projects as needed.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Associate's degree or specialized legal training with basic accounting principles required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-3 years legal experience required. Experience with workers' compensation and/or leave of absence claims preferred. Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. The appropriate candidate is detailed oriented, has excellent computer skills and is able to work independently.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time and repetitive motion with regard to typing. This position requires some walking, standing and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. This position requires working with various office equipment such as a computer terminal, a fax machine, a copier and a telephone. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership.
